Acceptable Use Policy
What you agree not to do with Omega Ex. It is part of the Terms of Service.
Contents
This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everyone using Omega EX. Breaking it can mean suspension or termination.
The short version: do not use Omega EX to break the law, to harm people, or to record people who have not agreed to be recorded.
Recording and consent
This is the rule most likely to catch out an honest user, so it is first.
Omega EX can record meetings and transcribe what is said. Before you record any conversation you must tell every participant and obtain whatever consent the law requires where each of them is located. A number of US states require the consent of every party, not just yours, and other countries are stricter still.
You must not:
- Record a conversation covertly, or where you have been asked not to.
- Disable, hide, or obscure the recording indicator.
- Record a conversation you are not part of.
- Record where recording is prohibited: certain legal, medical, educational, judicial, or workplace settings.
- Use a cloned voice, or any recording of another person, to impersonate them or to mislead anyone about who is speaking.
Voice cloning requires the consent of the person whose voice is cloned. If that is not you, get their permission in writing before you create the clone.
Do not put these into Omega EX
- Protected health information (PHI) as defined under HIPAA. Omega EX is not a HIPAA-covered service and we have not signed business associate agreements. Do not use it for patient information.
- Payment card data, full card numbers, or CVVs.
- Government identifiers such as Social Security numbers and passport numbers, beyond what a task genuinely requires.
- Classified or export-controlled material.
- Other people's confidential information that you are not permitted to disclose to a third-party service.
- Credentials belonging to someone else.
Remember that content you submit is sent to the AI providers listed on our Subprocessors page in order to answer you.
Prohibited uses
Do not use Omega EX to:
Break the law. Anything illegal where you or your subjects are, including fraud, theft, harassment, stalking, or unauthorised access to systems.
Harm people. Threaten, harass, bully, defame, or incite violence against anyone. Produce sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises minors, in any form. Produce content that exploits or endangers a vulnerable person.
Deceive. Impersonate a person or organisation. Create deepfakes, synthetic voices, or synthetic likenesses of real people without their consent. Generate disinformation, fake reviews, fake credentials, or forged documents. Present AI output as human-authored where doing so is deceptive or unlawful.
Attack systems. Gain unauthorised access, scan or probe systems you do not own, distribute malware, run denial-of-service attacks, or use the assistant's command execution to damage a system or evade a security control.
Circumvent Omega EX's own controls. Bypass the confirmation gate, the blocked-command list, or the consent gates. Attempt to make the assistant act outside what you are authorised to do.
Make consequential decisions automatically about people. Do not use Omega EX as the sole basis for decisions about someone's employment, credit, housing, insurance, education, or legal rights.
Give professional advice you are not qualified to give. Omega EX output is not legal, medical, financial, or tax advice, and must not be passed off as advice from a licensed professional.
Infringe. Violate copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or privacy rights.
Abuse the service. Resell or redistribute access, share credentials, run automated bulk workloads that degrade the service for others, or evade usage limits or a suspension.
Spam. Send unsolicited bulk email or messages through connected accounts.
High-risk uses
Omega EX is not designed, tested, or certified for any use where a failure could cause death, injury, or severe environmental or financial harm. Do not use it in the operation of medical devices, vehicles, aircraft, weapons, critical infrastructure, or emergency services.
Reporting
To report misuse, write to [email protected]. To report a security vulnerability, write to [email protected]. We do not pursue good-faith security research that respects our published scope.
Enforcement
We may investigate suspected breaches and may suspend or terminate access. We will usually give notice and a chance to fix the problem first, unless the breach is serious, unlawful, or creates a risk to others, in which case we may act immediately. We may report unlawful activity to the authorities.
Enforcement is at our discretion, and not enforcing a rule on one occasion does not waive it.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new date. Material changes are announced with at least 30 days notice.
